SECCO Technician Training

SECCO University

SECCO, Inc. offers training to all Co-Workers
and technicians. It is also used for research and development to build on our services in the future. Here at SECCO, education is highly valued, and continuing ones education is expected.

Within SECCO University we have training boards and full size operational equipment staged for training purposes. We train and practice at our location, before going to your business. This ensures the skills and knowledge of our technicians work. At SECCO University we value constant learning, and keep all our fully trained technicians current with new technologies for each of their trades.
We have always taken pride in education, and plan
on continuing to educate our technicians and
Co-Workers for the future.

North American Technician Excellence

Our technicians are NATE Certified,
background checked, and drug screened for your safety and security.

What is NATE Certifications?

NATE certification tests represent real world working knowledge of HVAC and HVACR systems, and candidates can earn installation and/or service certification in one or more specialty areas. NATE certification tests are developed by the NATE technical committee. The NATE technical committee is comprised of industry experts who develop and oversee NATE’s Knowledge Areas of Technician Expertise (K.A.T.E). Each exam is developed based on these knowledge areas of expertise. The technical committee represents a wide variety of contractors, educators, manufacturers, and utilities. Members also are diversely spread throughout the country.

Why Should I Ask For A NATE Certified Technician?

The NATE tests are rigorous, multiple-choice, and knowledge-based tests that represent what 80% of technicians have an 80% chance of encountering at least once a year. The average heating and cooling company has at least 5-10 technicians employed that are not NATE certified, depending on the size of the company. Here at SECCO 95% of our technicians are NATE certified.

What Specialties Are Covered By NATE Certification?

There are 21 NATE installation, service, and senior tests. Specialties include Air Conditioning, Air Distribution, Heat Pumps, Gas Furnaces, Oil Furnaces, Light Commercial Refrigeration, and Senior HVAC Efficiency Analyst.
